To apply a custom frame or overlay:

1. Open the Instapics Software
2. Go to the frames section
3. select the "gray" box above "photo preview"
4. Go to your "new template folder"
5. Select how many photos will be in the template
6. Double tap/click on the photo preview
7. press "change overlay"
8. navigate to where the frame/overlay is saved
9. select open
10. press the "save template" button
11. type in the name you would like to save it as
12. press the "close" button

If the png file you are trying to use is not a transparent file, you will need to apply it as a "background" and not an overlay.
